In the European Union
What applies to your concept.
EU rules that apply to your concept in every member state, each with its official source, checked on 6 October 2026. Your country adds its own: check them with your local food safety authority before you start.
Hygiene on board
For mobile sales vehicles, EU hygiene law asks for facilities to wash and dry hands hygienically, food-contact surfaces that are easy to clean and disinfect, and enough hot and/or cold drinking water. At Food Truck Store: double sink as standard, hand-wash basin with hot water as an option.
Allergens
For food sold unpacked, you must tell customers which of the 14 listed allergens your food and drinks contain: often cereals containing gluten (the bread), milk (yoghurt sauces), sesame and mustard. Your country sets how you give this information.

Registration
Before you start trading, you notify the competent authority of your country, which registers your food business. How and where is set by each country: ask your local food safety authority.
Gas
Gas appliances carry the CE marking under EU rules; the installation in the trailer, its checks and who may work on it are set by each country. We supply the gas bottle box as an option on every model; a qualified professional in your country installs and inspects the gas.

A car licence is enough
The AIR 220 format has a gross weight of 750 kg: you tow it behind your car on a category B licence, as long as your car is rated to tow it.

No: Food Truck Store supplies the equipped trailer (hood, cold storage, stainless steel, sink, electrics). You install the kebab grill and the cooking equipment of your choice.

In the European Union (Directive 2006/126/EC), a category B car licence covers the AIR 220, an unbraked trailer of up to 750 kg gross weight. The braked BOLD 270 comes in two gross weights: 1,000 kg stays within category B as long as the gross weights of your car and the trailer add up to 3,500 kg at most, which is the case with most cars; 1,500 kg calls, depending on your car, for the B96 code (combinations up to 4,250 kg, after training or a test) or a BE licence.
